WHO starts school on SEPTEMBER 8?

This is to clarify WHO comes to school on SEPT 8
We expect all Senior Kindergarten students to start school on Sept.8.  Only Junior Kindergarten students who have already had their orientation meeting and have been instructed to start regular attendance on the Tuesday (Some JK students may be instructed to start on the Wednesday or Thursday).  All students will line-up at the side of the school near the Kindergarten doors, where we will have class lists posted.

There will be several teachers meeting the buses to greet and escort new JK's, so please send your child on the bus if that will be their regular method of arrival. (This helps develop the comfort level for this routine right from the start!)

Classes are divided by colour; RED, BLUE, GREENPURPLE.
There will be a coloured "pylon" to indicate the group colour and where each group will line-up. There will be two lists posted per class by colour, one list for the JK's
and one for SK's.

PLEASE NOTE!
If your JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN child has NOT had their orientation meeting yet, or you have been given a different entry date, then we will see you in a day or two according to your scheduled entry day. The coloured "pylons" will be marking the line-up locations each day and teachers will be greeting the buses for the first week until the children learn this routine.  Please note: JK bus students will be assigned to an older student (from Gr. 5 or 6) to regularly escort them to the side yard on a daily basis.

We strongly encourage parents to make every attempt to get their child into a healthy bedtime routine (between 7 & 8 PM) at least a week or two before school begins. This will certainly help them adjust more easily to the demands of their day. Thank you for your support in this regard.

We are looking forward to meeting all our Kindergarteners and starting the new 2015-2016 school year!  Enjoy your last few days of summer holidays!
